Are Vaccines Really Important?

Vaccines are very important for our pets as they protect them from dangerous parasites and diseases they may encounter in their everyday life. Each pet should receive appropriate vaccines based on their particular needs and lifestyle. At MetroWest Veterinary Clinic, we strive to customize our care to ensure that our patients are receiving exactly the treatment and preventives that they need.

How Often Does My Pet Need to Go to the Vet?

We recommend that all pets come in for an exam at least once a year for a complete physical.  If your pet is a senior (7 or older) or has a chronic illness, we recommend a physical exam every six months.

Why Is Dental Care Necessary for My Pet?

Dentistry is extremely important for pets because it has been shown that a healthy mouth is a precursor for a healthy body! Keeping your pet’s teeth clean and strong can help keep the rest of their body in check as well. We examine the mouth during annual exams and recommend professional dental cleanings if we see anything that needs attention.
